Do you want to do something to support the troops returning from war zones and don’t know what to do or who to support?
Contribute to the cause!
Thank you for taking the time to read about our cause and see how you can support the 2008 Music March for Heroes. All of the proceeds for each of the events of the Music March for Heroes will benefit the ‘Hope for Heroes’ program, a non profit launched by the Samaritan Center in November 2007.
Our goal for 2008 is to raise $150,000 for ‘Hope for Heroes,’ the cost to provide counseling and administrative support for one year.
Located in central Austin, the program supports US veterans from San Marcos to Georgetown who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. So we are calling out to the whole corridor for financial donations.
We founded this organization because each of us was compelled to ‘do something’ in support of those that were serving our country. We hope that everyone who reads about the cause will also be compelled to support ‘Hope for Heroes’ by donating funds.
There are so many ways to figure out how we can reach our goal. We have high hopes that this community will get us there…but the way that we figure it is that there are thousands of individuals and businesses from San Marcos to Georgetown, so if we can get the word out (and have you forward this to anyone that you know to help us get the word out)…it would just take 500 businesses donating $300…or 50 businesses donating $3000…or 150,000 people donating $1…or, well, you get the idea.
Please donate now… donate a dollar, donate five, or helps us get to our goal faster and donate what you are compelled to to show support for the health of any military member or family member that reaches out to the Hope for Heroes program for help.
